“Death penalty” — two words no Ole Miss fans want to hear. But a lawyer for a former Ole Miss staffer is using them, at least to one Indiana TV station.
Bruse Loyd of the Houston-based law firm Jones, Gillaspia & Loyd represents former Ole Miss assistant AD Barney Farrar, and he told Evansville, Ind., TV station WEVV that the program is “as close to a death penalty as you can get.”
Farrar, who was fired in December from his role as the assistant athletic director for high school and junior college relations, was connected to several of the issues listed in the NCAA’s notice of allegations.
