Former Ole Miss quarterback Jordan Ta’amu has agreed to a contract with the St. Louis BattleHawks of the revitalized XFL.
The Pearl City, Hawaii, native played two seasons at New Mexico Military Institute before transferring to Ole Miss for the 2017 season. Ta’amu took over as the starter when Shea Patterson went down with an injury and kept the job when Patterson transferred to Michigan in the offseason.
Ta’amu tallied 5,600 passing yards and 30 touchdowns in 19 games at Ole Miss, targeting the likes of A.J. Brown, D.K. Metcalf and DaMarkus Lodge.
Ta’amu signed with the Houston Texans in early August, but was released before the season.
