Ole Miss opens spring practices today knowing it’s not going to play in a postseason game due to self-imposed sanctions related to NCAA violations. Less certain is the job security of head coach Hugh Freeze.
Freeze was asked about his future with the Rebels during his pre-spring press conference.
“I’m not really concerned,” Freeze said. “I’ve got administrators who’ve watched me and how I do things closely for five years. They’ve supported me and been unwavering in that.”
While Ole Miss might not terminate Freeze, there is still the possibility of him facing a suspension for his role in the NCAA violations committed by his program.
