It’s been about three or so months since former Ole Miss football coach Hugh Freeze resigned in disgrace after unsavory cell phone records came to light that showed him making repeated phone calls to Tampa and Houston area escort services. The whole sordid affair ensnares former coach Houston Nutt — who sued the university for “embarrassment” — and Ole Miss compliance blogger Steve Robertson, who first noticed the questionable phone calls and brought them to the attention of Nutt’s lawyer, Thomas Mars.
Freeze, for his part, has remained relatively quiet in the time following his resignation.
