Former Ole Miss DB Senquez Golson finally injury free for Steelers

Former Ole Miss defensive back Senquez Golson missed the first two seasons of his NFL career because of injury, and he’s hoping that changes going into his third season with the Pittsburgh Steelers this fall.

“I’m trying to be my best self,” Golson said recently, per ESPN.com’s Jeremy Fowler.

Golson missed his rookie season after undergoing shoulder surgery; last year, he had Lisfranc surgery on his injured foot. In both instances, the injury occurred in August just before the start of the season and resulted in him being placed on injured reserve.

Golson was drafted by the Steelers in the second round of the 2015 NFL draft after a four-year career at Ole Miss from 2011-14.
