OXFORD – Three Ole Miss players hit home runs, and freshman James McArthur settled in after a rocky start as the No. 8-ranked Rebels defeated Tennessee-Martin 8-2 today.
The game began at 11 a.m. before a mostly full Swayze Field on the annual kids day event, a time for local schools to take field trips.
Here’s Mike Bianco:
The Rebels improved to 20-2 and return to SEC play Thursday evening here against No. 14 South Carolina.
McArthur gave up a base hit and a home run to fall behind 2-0 in the first.
