Former Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell had a productive professional debut Friday night.
Treadwell, a rookie, reeled in four catches for 41 yards with the Minnesota Vikings in their opening preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals. One of his catches, an 18-yard reception, helped set up the Vikings for a field goal going into halftime.
“It was fun,” Treadwell said after the game. “I got to play a lot – I got a lot of reps.”
Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who’s going into his third season as the team’s starter, said postgame that he was excited to see some of the rookies get their first game experience at the professional level.
