Former Ole Miss quarterback Eli Manning is making a significant contribution toward a major Mississippi children’s medical center.
Manning, now with the New York Giants, pledged $1 million toward the Children’s of Mississippi capital campaign, the organization announced.
The quarterback, along with his wife Abby, will serve on the fundraising committee for the campaign, which aims to raise $100 million.
A two-time Super Bowl winner with the Giants, Manning was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft.
Manning has a long history of involvement with children’s health in Mississippi. In 2009, he opened the Eli Manning Children’s Clinics at Batson Children’s Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.
