OXFORD, Miss. -- Mississippi quarterback Chad Kelly has decided to return to school for his senior season.
The 6-foot-2 Kelly -- who is the nephew of Pro Football Hall of Famer Jim Kelly -- was considering jumping to the NFL after leading the Rebels to a 10-3 record this season, including a Sugar Bowl victory over Oklahoma State. He threw for 4,042 yards, 31 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
Kelly released a statement Monday through his family's public relations firm that said he will stay in Oxford one more season. Kelly said in the statement, "I realize that there's still a lot of learning and growing that I can do with this team.
