FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Jaylen Barford scored 23 points, 16 in the second half, as Arkansas opened a big first half lead and held on down the stretch for a 97-93 win over Mississippi on Saturday.
Barford, the Southeastern Conference's third-leading scorer at 18.9 points per game, was 8 of 11 from the field -- helping the Razorbacks (13-6, 3-4) bounce back after four losses in their last five games. The senior also had five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Daryl Macon added 20 points for Arkansas, while freshman Daniel Gafford had 15 points, nine rebounds, three steals and three blocks.
