This is my first trip to this NFL convention and, make no mistake, that is exactly what it is. Practically every coach — head coaches and assistants — are here. Owners, too. And team presidents and GMs. Broadcasters everyone recognized. You would see Cris Collinsworth checking in, Steve Mariucci hanging at the bar, John Elway racing to make the elevator, Jeff Fisher wandering in the lobby not quite sure where to go. An NFL “Who’s Who.”
With that much to see, you can imagine how crazy the media following must be. There were more than 1,400 credentials issued to members of the media, which makes it very much like SEC Media Days.
