TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- The Alabama women's basketball team (14-9, 3-7 Southeastern Conference) picked up a conference victory against the Ole Miss Rebels (10-12, 2-7 SEC) Thursday night inside Foster Auditorium. While the first half of the game was close, the Crimson Tide picked up the pace in the second half to pull away in the low-scoring contest.
Alabama stifled Ole Miss with its defense, holding the Rebels to 13-of-58 (22.4 percent) from the field for the game. The Tide also outscored Ole Miss 16-8 at the free throw line.
Sophomore Meoshonti Knight led the Tide with 14 points while fellow sophomore Hannah Cook finished with 12 points to go along with hauling in nine rebounds.
