New Ole Miss defensive line coach Freddie Roach, who came over from Tuscaloosa before the 2017 season, already knew what he was getting himself into when he took the job in Oxford. The 2016 defense was abysmal and he would need to work fast in order to restore it to its glory days of 2008 and 2014. Well, he landed his first recruit in Oxford in April shortly after being hired.
Now, that first commit has signed to make it official and join Matt Luke’s 2018 class.
