It’s been awfully quiet on the recruiting front for a few months now, but the silence was broken Thursday afternoon when three-star wide receiver Cameron Wright chose to verbally commit to the Rebels.
The 2021 receiver from South Panola High School despite early offers from Memphis and Mississippi State. The Batesville, Miss. native is the No. 6 overall prospect in the Magnolia State per 247Sports and is a part of a stellar wide receiver class inside state lines that includes four-stars Antonio Harmon, Deion Smith, and three-star Brandon Buckhaulter.
Receivers coach Jacob Peeler is almost certainly making a point to not only secure these commitments early but he could shore up his receiver room in next year’s class with Mississippi recruits alone.
