A day after the Wild opted to keep their roster virtually the same as last season, alternate captain Zach Parise put the onus on himself and his teammates to improve.
With a cap-strapped roster and weak free agent class, the Wild spent Wednesday re-signing players from last season's squad.
Only former Gophers All-American blue liner Mike Reilly joins the team as a newcomer.
"The most important thing is we need internal improvements; the guys that are going to be here that were here last year have to be better," Parise said. "That's the bottom line to me.
