Wild's Ryan Suter, hall of fame uncle share special day

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- After being honored by the Sharks, for whom he played the final three years of his NHL career, U.S. Hockey Hall of Famer Gary Suter got a special lift back to the Midwest.

Following the Wild's 4-3 loss to the Sharks on Saturday afternoon, Suter flew back to Minnesota on the Wild's charter next to nephew Ryan Suter.

"(Ryan) said, 'We'll kick the guy out who normally sits next to me,' " Suter said with a laugh. Ryan later revealed Erik Haula to be the unfortunate loser in the seat sweepstakes.

As the Sharks celebrate their 25 years in San Jose, they occasionally bring back former players to honor.
