Minnesota Wild assistant coach Darryl Sydor re-joined the team for practice Tuesday, his first time with the Wild at a practice or game since being arrested for drunken driving in August.
On Oct. 12, Sydor pleaded guilty to second-degree driving while impaired and was sentenced to 365 days in jail, 60 of which were executed.
Per Sydor's attorney, the sentence was staggered, meaning Sydor could avoid time in jail by spending time in a workhouse, and additionally proving in October of 2016, 2017 and 2018 that he has remained sober.
On Aug. 20, Sydor was arrested while driving his 12-year-old son to a hockey game.
