Happy Monday. I hope you all had weekends that included more good things than just the Wild winning on Saturday night. That was pretty great, but if that was the only good thing in your weekend: I'm sorry.
I baked a delicious upside down cake and hung out with friends yesterday. The recipe uses blueberries and plums, but I substituted a pear for the plum because that's what we had around, and it was still delicious. The real beauty to this cake is the cardamon base. Like a lot of Minnesotans I was raised eating cardamon bread around the holidays, but it isn't a flavor I use much during the rest of the year, and that's a shame.
