#OneOfUs Derek Stepan lit the lap just past the halfway point of the first overtime, sending the Washington Capitals to the golf course and the New York Rangers on to face the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Finals and one step closer to Lord Stanley's Cup. It was an epic goalie showcase all night as Braden Holtby and King Henrik Lundqvist put on a show at both ends of the ice for a final tally of 2-1 Rangers. It was a crushing defeat for the Capitals who jumped out to an early lead in the series, but a fine series and a heck of a conclusion.
