Other than Matt Cullen’s retirement (more here, and in the walk below), local-ish hockey on Wednesday had two bits of news to savor over.
First, the Iowa Wild of the AHL released their 2019-20 season schedule...
Some of the key dates:
October 4th: Season and home opener vs. the Rockford Ice Hogs
November 7th: “Wild about Education” game, 10:30am start, first game against the Chicago Wolves, the team that eliminated them from the Calder Cup playoffs
January 24th: Start of a nine-game homestand
April 10th: Final game of the regular season, against the Manitoba Moose
Second, the Da Beauty League played their first games of the summer season.
