The Minnesota Wild will play two home preseason games against the Buffalo Sabres, starting with the preseason opener Sept. 21 at the Xcel Energy Center, the team announced Thursday.
Minnesota also will close its preseason schedule against the Sabres on Oct. 1 at the X and play the Winnipeg Jets there on Sept. 27.
The Wild finished their 2014-15 season in the second round of the Western Conference playoffs, a four-game sweep against conference champion Chicago.
They'll play away preseason games against the Jets in Winnipeg on Sept. 22, against the Blue Jackets Sept. 24 in Columbus and against the Edmonton Oilers Sept.
