Ales Stezka played for Liberec of the Czech junior leagues the past two seasons. He posted a 21-19 record with a 2.76 GAA and a .913 save percentage. He did, however, post a .948 sv% in 24 games the year prior. The Wild desperately needed a new goalie prospect and the fact that he's coming over to play North American hockey this early should be good for the Wild to monitor his progress.
Standing at 6'3", Stezka is considered an athletic goaltender, and the Wild have been picking big, athletic goaltender prospects going back to Darcy Kuemper.
