Zach Palmquist is set to enter his first full season of professional hockey this fall.
Yet the South St. Paul native is the oldest player at the Wild's development camp, which wraps up with a scrimmage on Tuesday night.
Palmquist, 24, is the elder statesmen amid a group of kids in their late teens and early 20s.
"I think I've seen a little bit more than some of these kids," he said.
That's true, if just for the fact that unlike many of the Wild's top prospects and recent draft picks, Palmquist -- who signed a contract with Minnesota in March for the 2015-16 season -- has a sliver of professional experience.
