DENVER -- Nino Niederreiter said he will always look forward to games at Colorado's Pepsi Center. Each trip is a chance to re-visit the biggest play of his career.
In Game 7 of the Wild's first-round playoff series in 2014, Niederreiter scored the overtime goal that gave Minnesota its first postseason series win in a decade, cementing a place in franchise history for Niederreiter, just 22 at the time.
"It will always be special to me, that's for sure," Niederreiter said before the Wild opened their season here Thursday. "That's what you dream of as a kid, is to be in a position like that and have the chance to score the clinching goal.
