The Minnesota Wild has recalled forward Michael Keranen (pronounced kair-A-nehn) from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Keranen, 25 (1/4/90), has tallied eight points (4-4=8) including two power-play goals and eight penalty minutes (PIM) in 13 games with Iowa this season. He leads the team in goals and scoring and is tied for third with 34 shots. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound native of Stockholm, Sweden recorded 37 points (10-27=37) with Iowa last season ranking first on the team in assists and tied for second in scoring. Keranen recorded 52 points (17-35=52), 47 PIM and a plus-12 rating in 52 games for Ilves Tampere in Finland’s Elite League in 2013-14.
