Wild: Playoff hockey brings heavy traffic in front of net

The blue is sacred ground for goaltenders protecting their crease, but the traffic lanes just outside the paint became hotly contested in Game 2 of the Wild-Blues playoff series.

Minnesota goalie Devan Dubnyk twice chopped the back of Steve Ott's legs in the third period, shortly after Wild forward Zach Parise was penalized for interference after bumping St. Louis goaltender Jake Allen.

Parise cut to the net and was bumped by Blues defenseman Jay Bouwmeester before clipping Allen as a point shot sailed just wide.

"There is no point in pleading the case, they already made the call," Parise said.
