Just five days into Wild training camp, time is running out for several key prospects battling for roster spots.
Because of an odd, compressed preseason schedule, which features five exhibition games in seven days, the Wild expect to know their opening day roster by next Monday.
And yet, with that big day of cuts looming, several players the team hoped would force their way on have done little to stand out.
After Monday's 3-2 victory over Buffalo at Xcel Energy Center, coach Mike Yeo expressed frustration that forwards Ruslan Fedotenko, Kurtis Gabriel and Tyler Graovac hadn't done enough to separate themselves.
