When Jason Pominville first joined the Wild via trade in the spring of 2013, he brought with him the same game day routines he had used in eight seasons with the Buffalo Sabres.
That meant that before and after games, Pominville cracked open a liter of Pedialyte, a beverage originally intended for dehydrated children following bouts of vomiting or diarrhea.
His new teammates howled.
They called it "baby water," chirping Pominville with one-liners each time he opened a bottle.
But quietly, players started approaching him on the side with questions about the benefits. A few tried it out.
