The Wild, for almost two full periods, were the better team last night. That's not to say they were offensive monsters, but they limited chances to the Coyotes who were about as uninterested in offense as the Twins have been for the past few years (ZING).
Indeed, between the end of the first period and most of the way through the second, the Coyotes were held shot-less. The Wild were beginning to swarm, and began generating a number of good chances. After Spurgeon's beautiful redirection of a Zach Parise saucer pass, the Wild were hungry to put the game away.
