Jordan Schroeder's time in the minors lasted two days.
After clearing waivers, Schroeder was assigned to the Wild's AHL affiliate in Iowa Wednesday, one of the final players the team cut before their season opener Thursday.
But after rookie forward Tyler Graovac suffered a lower body injury Thursday, the Wild called Schroeder back up to the NHL. Saturday night, in the Wild's home opener, Schroeder was set to take Graovac's open spot on the third line.
Saturday provided Schroeder a second chance to stand out after his training camp performance was hindered when he suffered a groin injury, a shoulder injury, and strep throat all in the final 10 days of camp.
