Wild assistant Darryl Sydor arrested on suspicion of DWI

Wild assistant coach Darryl Sydor was arrested Thursday by Fridley Police and booked for second degree DUI and child endangerment, Lt. Mike Monsrud told the Pioneer Press.

Sydor is scheduled to appear in court Friday afternoon, Monsrud said.

Sydor, 43, was pulled over around 5:15 p.m. Thursday near Highway 65 and Medtronic Parkway in Fridley while driving his 12-year-old son to a hockey game, Monsrud said.

A motorist had called Fridley Police to report Sydor's car driving erratically. When pulled over, police noticed bloodshot eyes, slowed speech and reported that Sydor had trouble locating his wallet, Monsrud said.
