Do the Wild really want to tempt fate and return to St. Louis for a Game 7? Do they really want to take a chance on awakening the frightening ghosts of Barclay Player and Bob Gassoff? Or will they be able to handle prosperity and finish this dirty business at Xcel?
History says Game 6 is a dicey proposition because the Wild do their best work when they are hip deep in quicksand and the vultures are circling overhead. The higher the expectations the more erratic the performance and vice-versa. Game 4 in St. Paul was an unmitigated disaster.
