The ECAC holds the distinction of being the only conference outside of the WCHA to win an NCAA National Championship and contain this year’s champions. As of the midseason break they also have the most teams ranked in the top ten nationally with four programs out of the conference’s total of twelve. Interestingly, as of the midseason break the point distribution within the ECAC is such that there are four different ties in the standings.
