The Minnesota Wild announced registration is now open for the third annual Minnesota Wild Breakaway 10K/5K/1-Mile Run, presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota. Celebrating the start of the 2016-17 NHL season, the run will take place on Saturday, Sept. 24 in Saint Paul beginning at 8:30 a.m. All races will begin and end near Xcel Energy Center and proceeds will benefit the Herb Brooks Foundation.
New this year is the “Herbie’s Hill” contest for racers participating in the 5K or 10K runs. Prizes will be awarded for the top male and female runners with the fastest splits in each distance from the bottom to the top of the Wabasha Street Bridge.
