The Minnesota Wild announced Friday morning that they would be signing White Bear Lake’s favorite hockey son forward Ryan Carter to a PTO paving the way for him to earn a spot on the team in training camp. Carter has spent the last two seasons in Minnesota and has been a fourth line staple with big minutes on the penalty kill as well.
Signing a PTO was a move that was thought to be a foregone conclusion, I think the only issue was who it was going to be. Carter is certainly on the list of guys from last year’s squad who deserve to be brought in for a chance to come back.
