Minnesota Wild offense rolls again in 5-2 win over Rangers

Perhaps their six-goal outburst against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday wasn't an anomaly.

Two nights after thrashing the lowly Canucks in a 6-1 victory, the Wild posted a 5-2 win over the New York Rangers, one of the favorites to win the Stanley Cup this season.

The Wild improved to 12-3-1 at the Xcel Energy Center this season.

A team that praises itself for defensive play has suddenly scored 11 goals in two games after scoring 10 goals in its previous six games.

Thursday's win was the ninth straight game in which the Wild have earned at least a point, their longest such streak of the season.
