Minnesota Wild lose Graovac, Fontaine for several weeks

After escaping the first few weeks of the season mostly healthy, the Wild will be without two third-line forwards for at least a month.

Rookie Tyler Graovac, who was injured in the team's season opener but figured to miss only a couple weeks, underwent sports hernia surgery in Philadelphia and is expected to miss around six weeks.

The team also announced Tuesday that Justin Fontaine suffered a sprained medical collateral ligament during a knee-to-knee hit last Friday against the Blackhawks and will miss four to six weeks.

Fontaine has four points in eight games this season.
