Minnesota Wild fall way behind, and comeback falls just short

WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- The puck dropped Sunday evening, and Jason Zucker was off. Flying into the Winnipeg zone, dangling between Jacob Trouba's legs, and flipping the puck top-shelf over Michael Hutchinson.

Zucker's first goal of the season came at 19:50, the fastest to start a game in Wild history.

It was an electric start for the Wild, but an offensive explosion by the Jets would quickly dampen the mood.

Winnipeg tied the score just a minute after Zucker's goal. The Jets would score again a minute after that, and once more in a messy first period.
