CHICAGO -- One day after being left off the list of finalist for the NHL's most valuable player award, Wild goalie Devan Dubnyk was named a finalist for the Masterton Award, given to the NHL player who "best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication" to hockey.
It is the second significant award Dubnyk has been nominated for; he also is one of the three finalists for the Vezina Trophy, given to the league's best goalie. All awards will be announced June 24 in Las Vegas.
Dubnyk was named a finalist for the Masterton along with Ottawa Senators goalie Andrew Hammond and Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang.
