“It’s beyond my wildest dreams.”
Those were the words spoken by the Minnesota Wild’s, Thomas Vanek after signing his three year, 19 million dollar contract in the summer of 2014.
Coming off a 27 goal season with 41 assists in 2013-14, in which he played with three different teams, the Wild felt it promising to offer Vanek a contract worth 6.5 million against their salary cap for three straight seasons.
