Minnesota Wild cash in right away with revamped power play

The morning before their first preseason game, the Wild offered the first peek at their revamped power play.

For one day, anyway, the unit looked much like what the team's veterans hoped for.

After insinuating this offseason that he wanted to shoot more and quarterback the unit from the point, Ryan Suter is there alone. After suggesting that he could help from the circles, Zach Parise is there. For the first preseason game Monday night, they will be joined by Jason Pominville in front of the net, Mikko Koivu in the slot and Mikael Granlund along the wall.
