The Minnesota Wild and St. Paul police are warning hockey fans to be careful when buying tickets for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Scammers are selling one ticket to multiple people and printing their own fake tickets as demand has hit an all-time high for seats at a Wild home game, said Jamie Spencer, executive vice president for the Wild.
"We know that counterfeit tickets are on the rise," Spencer said at a news conference Friday.
Potential ticket buyers are advised to purchase tickets only through the Wild's website or Ticketmaster or from someone they know and trust.
