First off, I’ll have to give props to Steve “Dangle” Glynn for the idea that is trade trees. They’re a lot of fun. I’ve traded in wasted hours of trying to go from pudding to Hitler on Wikipedia for going down the hockeydb rabbit hole. That being said, the Wild don’t have a first round pick this season after trading it to Arizona for Martin Hanzal, Ryan White (woof), and a fourth round pick in this year’s draft. In an attempt to stop the bleeding that was the back end of the 2016-17 season, Fletcher felt that three draft picks and Teemu Pulkkinen was worth a deal with Arizona that yielded: a 0.
Maybe Chuck Fletcher/Minnesota not drafting in the first round isn’t a bad thing?
