Gerry Mayhew was just named the AHL MVP of the 19-20 season, lets take a look into Mayhew’s outcoming in the AHL.
Gerry Mayhew took a pretty traditional route to the NHL, he started in juniors with the USHL’s Cedar Rapids RoughRiders for 2 seasons, made the jump to the Ferris State Bulldogs in the NCAA, and after 4 seasons and putting up 119 points in 150 games at the NCAA, Mayhew signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Iowa Wild.
In Mayhew’s first season with Iowa, he would see limited time only appearing in 17 games with the club and putting up 6 goals and 1 assist in the 16-17 season.
