Former Sabres defenseman pleads guilty on gambling charge (Puck Daddy)

Former Rochester Americans defenseman Nathan Paetsch accepted a plea deal in with the U.S. government for his role in an illegal gambling ring.

According to the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle, Paetsch faces eight months home detention and must pay back $265,000. The gambling ring was run out of The Marina Restaurant and Bar – the same place where Minnesota Wild forward Thomas Vanek has been linked in the past.
