For the Wild, bonding takes brief back seat

DULUTH -- A three-day trip here for the Wild has meant a pig roast and two rounds of golf at the well-known Northland Country Club.

Tuesday, the getaway designed for team bonding was interrupted for an hour when the team practiced at Amsoil Arena.

"Had to sweat (the pig roast) out," coach Mike Yeo said. "And some other things."

The Wild's training camp roster is down to 26, and one of those, Justin Fontaine, is set to miss opening night because of an oblique injury. So the roster that practiced here only needs a few more cuts to get down to the 23 players it needs to be at by Oct.
