The Minnesota Wild announced that five players have been named to initial rosters for the World Cup of Hockey 2016. Zach Parise and Ryan Suter were named to Team USA, Mikael Granlund and Mikko Koivu were named to Team Finland and Thomas Vanek was named to Team Europe. The tournament will take place over a two-week period, from Sept. 17 – Oct. 1, 2016. All games will be played at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
Parise has tallied 39 points (18-21=39) in 53 games with Minnesota this season.
