"Corey Crawford is fine," Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville said about his starting goaltender. No, it wasn't an attempt to instill confidence in his netminder, but a response to a question about Crawford's health after taking a Marco Scandella slap shot right to the noggin in Sunday's Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinal. The shot left Crawford visibly shaken and disoriented. He even needed to use the net to support himself slightly after getting back to his feet. There was much outrage on social media and bloggers alike about how the NHL and the Blackhawks broke concussion protocol on the play.
