Update: For the latest Vikings Rumors from March 9th, including Alex Boone signing, click here.
NFL Free Agency starts on March 9th, and the next few days will feature several Minnesota Vikings rumors. While free agency doesn't officially start until Wednesday, Monday and Tuesday are "legal tampering" days. That means teams can discuss contracts with any player, although a deal can't be signed until Wednesday. With that in mind, here are a few of the more interesting rumors and news tidbits on the Vikings.
Vikings Feeling Good About Landing Iloka?
The Vikings have been linked to safety George Iloka and signing him makes perfect sense for the Vikings. The team needs a safety to pair with Harrison Smith and Iloka is one of the top ones on the market. Plus, head coach Mike Zimmer knows Iloka from their time together with the Cincinnati Bengals. At least one player thinks the Vikings will land Iloka.
A #Vikings player to me on George Iloka: "I truly think we will get him. Young team on the rise an a chance to start for his old coach."

Just how much Iloka would cost the Vikings, is another question. The Falcons, Giants, Lions, and of course, Bengals all want him.
Contract Offer Details
The Vikings have already offered Iloka a contract, according to one rumor.

That means the deal would be worth $24 million total. It's also best to take this with a grain of salt, since it stems from a Vikings fan forum. Still, even if the contract details aren't exactly right, there's no doubt the Vikings want Iloka.
Vikings Reached Out To Vincent Rey?
Iloka isn't the only former Bengal the Vikings are interested in. LB Vincent Rey is also drawing interest.

Rey fills a need and although he's not the best linebacker on the market, he'd be a productive and fairly cheap option.
Vikings Interested In Mitchell Schwartz
The Browns' right tackle is set to hit the open market and he's drawing interest from several teams. According to Cabot, among the teams interested are the Buccaneers, Giants, Falcons and Vikings. All four are in need of offensive line help and should the cap space to make the talented Schwartz the highest-paid RT in the NFL. The Vikings convinced Phil Loadholt to take a pay cut today, which could impact their pursuit of Schwartz.
