With Harrison Smith out, Anthony Harris starts at safety for Vikings

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- As the Minnesota Vikings try to win for just the second time since Oct. 9, they'll put Anthony Harris in the lineup at safety for Harrison Smith.

The second-year safety will start in place of Smith, who will miss Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a sprained left ankle. Harris will make his first start of the season, but he got the bulk of the playing time at safety in place of the injured Andrew Sendejo on Oct. 31 in Chicago.

Without Smith, the Vikings might have to streamline some of their blitz packages against Blake Bortles, though defensive coordinator George Edwards said this week he doesn't expect the Vikings to change much with Harris in place of Smith.
